Admissions Policy

The Pupil Admissions Number is sixty (60). Applications for places in the Reception Classes of Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School up to the Standard Admission Number are considered by the Admissions Committee of the Governors in the following order of priority:

 

 2.1 Children who are baptised Roman Catholic and are resident within the area served by the school or who are baptised Roman Catholic with a sibling in attendance at the school at the time the applicant would start at the school. However, if this category is oversubscribed the following order of priority will apply:

 

those with siblings in attendance at the school at the time the applicant would start at the school.

those who are weekly church attenders on average

those who attend church once a month on average.

those who attend church less than once a month on average.

those without a signed statement by the Parish Priest.

 

Evidence for this will be a signed statement by the Parish Priest or his authorised delegate confirming attendance under one of the categories and a valid baptism certificate. Preference will be given to those children who have been baptised at an earlier age within each category of church attendance.

 

 2.2 Children who are baptised Roman Catholic and are resident outside the area served by the school. However, if this category is oversubscribed, the following order of priority will apply:

 

those who are weekly church attenders on average.

those who attend church once a month on average.

those who attend church less than once a month on average.

those without a signed statement by the Parish Priest.

 

Evidence for this will be a signed statement by the Parish Priest or his authorised delegate confirming attendance under one of the categories and a valid baptism certificate. Preference will be given to those children who have been at an earlier age within each category of church attendance.
